A posture of thankfulness.

"And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives." (Matthew 26:30)

The disciples sang a song at the end of their Passover meal, and before what would be the longest night Jesus would ever experience. Jewish people today, during the fourth cup, the cup of Praise, will read through Psalm 113-118. Take some time to read through these Psalms. Be thankful for the death, and resurrection of Jesus in your life.

What habits of thankfulness do you have toward Jesus?

What habits of thankfulness could you develop?

As Moses said to the people, “And you shall tell your son on that day, saying, 'It is because of what the Lord did for me when I came out of Egypt.'” (Exodus 13:8)

As great as the deliverance was out of Egypt, today we remember a much greater deliverance. Israel has not only been redeemed as a nation from slavery in Egypt but we have also been redeemed as individuals from the judgment of sin through the sacrifice that Jesus made on our behalf.

What do you have to be thankful for? If you are in a group going through this lesson, share the things in your life you are grateful for. If you are going through this study on your own, write out some of those things, or go to God directly to be thankful.
